Specific Sites
People have a hard time remembering past weather. Some will say it was colder in the old days and some will remember storms and other specific events, but memory is a poor window to the past.
In a previous post (Here) it was pointed out that a plot of world-wide data (Nov-Mar) from NOAA’s NCEP site showed that there was no correlation between temperature and CO2 for the 30 year period 1949 to 1979 and again for the period 1980 through 2000. Actually the correlation was slightly negative for both periods. It is interesting to look at temperature at specific sites. The beginning and ending period is selected to show that there are long periods without any rise in temperature, which does not fit the AGW mantra of CO2 induced warming.
Fairbanks, Alaska
Here we have data from a single point near Fairbanks, Alaska. To be exact 65N and 147.5W. The data shows a rise in temperature from 1949 until it peaked in 1977. If we plot the temperatures for the period 1977-2014 we get the following:

The correlation for this period is -0.18 so we have no CO2 caused warming for this 37 year period.
Nova Scotia, Canada
A graph of temperature data was done for a site in Nova Scotia for the 41 year period 1949 - 1990. The correlation with the rise of CO2 is -0.4. No warming here either.

Nome, Alaska
The temperature rose sharply from 1949 to 1962 and then remained about the same until the year 2000 when it again begin to rise. As can be seen in the graph below there was no increase in temperature for the 38 years from 1962 until the year 2000. It is obvious that the temperature and the rise in CO2 are not related.

Palm Springs, CA
The temperature for 32.5 N and 115 W shows that for the 26 year period 1949 - 1975 there was no warming.

Middle of the North Pacific
So how about the oceans. A site at 35 N and 165 W shows that for the 31 year period 1949 - 1980 the correlation of temperature and CO2 is -0.3. If we related CO2 to this graph we would have to say that CO2 causes cooling.
