Precipitation Forecast for Regions.

Total precipitation for a single site does not give a good picture of climate, but averaging several sites gives a more coherent view of what has occurred and makes it possible to forecast accurately.   Regional forecasts are available for the West, Northwest, Sierras, and Southwest.  Coming soon Midwest and possibly farther east.

Hindcast for the Sierras using Auberry, Canyon Dam, Fiddletown, Lemon Cove and Yosemite.  Note the precipitation is liquid equivalent.

The red bars are the average total precipitation for each station.  The green bar is the average of all stations and the yellow bar is the forecast of average precipitation for the group for 2015.
